The country’s infrastructure is key. All ten islands of the Archipelago are surrounded by water. Saturn in the Cancer-ruled 4th House mirrors the country’s fundamental reality of water. Despite being surround by the Atlantic Ocean, the country has the least endowment of drinkable water. Saturn in Cancer in the 4th testifies to the desalination process involved before water is drinkable.
According to Africa Infrastructure Country Diagnostic (ACID) for August of 2010, desalination plants are required to produce water for 85% of the population. The plants require money to build. In a 2022 article by Med Africa, the bank of Austria funded a plan to increase the production capacity of the desalination plant in Praia (capital). The bank also financed the building of a plant in Boa Vista.
