Will E G be Vulnerable to a Coup in the Next Few Months?
Sept. 17 2023 EG’s Prog. Moon is coming out of Gemini (it is presently at 29GE48) and about to enter Cancer. It is in the 6th House of the military and will square natal Uranus at the Aries Point. The next couple of months will focus on the people’s public force (Prog. Moon rules the 7th House) and instinctive urge for radical changes (MO sq UR). The national economy will be highlighted, because of Uranus’ rulership of the 2nd House. A coup is possible due to the increase of coups in the region, and because the incumbent has been in office for 44 years, having exceeded the two-term limit many times.
Transiting Mars conjoins the 10th cusp on 22 Sept. and will conjoin prog. Mars at the same time. This conjunction will energize initiatives, soldiers and embolden opposition parties. (Mars rules the 4th House of oppositional groups.)
Aug. 30 2023 Equatorial Guinea’s prog. Moon (ruler 7th House) will enter Cancer (Aries Point) by 25 Sep. It will simultaneously square natal Uranus ruler of the 2nd House. Friday, 22 Sep. is when transiting Mars conjoins prog. Mars on the natal 10th cusp. This will occur close to the time the prog. Moon changes signs to square natal Uranus.
The climate in Central Africa changed suddenly through the coup in Gabon. As EG is also in Central Africa, the president has been in power since 1979. This may be a time for change and it may happen because during this period.
On 3 Aug. 1979 when President Macias Nguema was overthrown, EG’s prog. Sun (President) was in the 10th House at the 29th deg. It was 29 deg. 57 min. The prog. Sun also ruled the 8th House.
Pluto had crossed the natal Midheaven by 40 min. of arc when the bloody coup took place. The chart of EG is one of the only charts, besides Liberia which has a documented noon birth. South Africa, under Nelson Mandela, was born 17 min. after noon, Mandela took his oath of office at that time.
The chart shows the concentration of power in the upper half, by EG’s first president. r/Saturn in the 4th House is in Aries. In the context of the only two leaders since 1968, this also confirms the selfish accumulation of power.
The country (1st House) has been ruled authoritatively, through by r/Saturn. Consolidating power was a method, used by many African leaders, to make the country strong without diluting leadership by other parties. In this case, opposition parties were outlawed, by the time the prog. Midheaven conjoined the natal Sun, in the 10th House.
Today on 23 June 2023 prog. Mars is 2 min. from exact conjunction with the natal Midheaven. Mars rules the 4th House of opposition groups.
